KING JESUS IS COMING SOON! ARE YOU READY?

That’s right!

Jesus is coming back! And He is coming back soon! And you can take that to the bank!

It’s time to get ready and prepare for His RETURN!

How can we be certain that Jesus is coming back soon?

Well, I will try my best to explain! This article may be a bit long, but I encourage you to read through it and to think seriously about this very very important subject.

So how can we be sure?

First, we can be sure of His soon return because that’s what He promised!

“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.”

(Revelation 22:12)

These words are the very words of Jesus Christ, and He will certainly keep His promise! 

Most people try hard to keep the promises they make.

How about you? Have you kept all of the promises you made? Your entire life?

While no one can claim this with confidence, Jesus can! And that’s because He is quite special. And that’s one of many reasons why so many people from all around the world have come to put their faith in a Jewish man from 2000 years ago.

Jesus has kept all of the promises he made. And not just the ones that are convenient to keep. Jesus keeps ALL of His promises.

Because Jesus is Faithful!

In around 700 BC (that would be about 700 years before the birth of Jesus Christ), prophet Isaiah prophecied that Jesus would suffer for our sins on the cross.

“Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows;

​​Yet we esteemed Him stricken,

​​Smitten by God, and afflicted.

​​But He was wounded for our transgressions,

​​He was bruised for our iniquities;

​​The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,

​​And by His stripes we are healed.

​All we like sheep have gone astray;

​​We have turned, every one, to his own way;

​​And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.“

(Isaiah 53:3“~6)

This is what John the Baptist had to say about Jesus Christ:

“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”

(John 1:29)

That’s right! 

Jesus suffered and died on the cross. And not because he deserved it. Not because He had committed a horrible crime. He suffered and died for you and for me! Because of our sins. Because the wage of sin is death, he took our place on the cross. He took our punishment.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

(John 3:16)

Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ!

He is the Messiah of Israel whom the prophets of Israel had prophesied about for thousands of years.

Now we know that Jesus is committed to keep His promise to return. But just because you are committed does not guarantee that you will be able to keep your promise.

You certainly need to be willing and committed, but that’s not enough. You need to have the power to follow through.

We know Jesus is committed. But is He able?  

“Suddenly there was a great earthquake! For an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, rolled aside the stone, and sat on it.

His face shone like lightning, and his clothing was as white as snow. The guards shook with fear when they saw him, and they fell into a dead faint.

Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.

He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying.

And now, go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there. Remember what I have told you.”

(Matthew 28: 2-7, NLT)

Jesus was crucified, died and was buried in a tomb. But on the third day, He rose from the dead!

No one has ever defeated death. No matter how smart you are, no matter how rich and powerful you are, no matter how much influence you have… all must bow to the power of death.

But not Jesus Christ. JESUS defeated Death and rose from the grave!

He who is able to defeat death is able to Keep His promise!

“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.”

(Revelation 22:12)

These are the words of Jesus Christ recorded in the Bible.

Yes, He is coming back. He is coming back soon, just as He promised!

Look, I am coming soon!”

Soon? Really? I mean… it’s been like 2000 years since Jesus spoke these words.

Do you see the problem here? This has been an issue that many followers of Christ have been grappling with for centuries.

And because it has been so long since this promise was made, many followers of Christ sort of gave up on the idea that Jesus will return anytime soon.

No confessing Christians will say that Jesus failed to keep his promise. Because that would be wrong. But deep inside, many are very confused. And though most will not admit it, many have sort of given up on the notion that Christ will return soon. Many “followers of Christ” have no real anticipation of His imminent return. As a matter of fact, many live as if Christ will never return!

“knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. 

They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.”

(2 Peter 3:3-4, ESV)

Apostle Peter warned again such attitude. And he said the reason for the delay is not because Jesus failed to keep his promise. The reason why it is taking so long is because God is patient. God hates to see sinners going to hell. He wants every sinner to repent and be saved. So He is giving sinners more time to repent.

Isn’t God amazing?

God is patient. His love is wider than the ocean. But that does not mean God will not judge.

He has given sinners time to repent. Lot’s of time… about 2000 years.

But that window of grace is actually closing. It is closing rather quickly. And soon it will be fully shut with no more chance to be saved!

So REPENT and cry out to JESUS! Ask Him to save you while there is still time!

Let’s get back our main topic~ the soon return of Christ.

There is much written in the Bible about the end times~ the years leading up to Christ’s triumphant return. There is much to study, and much to learn. It is very, very important that we are not ignorant of this super important subject. Because if we are living in the generation of His return (and I believe we are), we will have to live through a very difficult season.

I think this analogy might help you to better understand what I mean.

Let’s say you have only experienced hot summers, wonderful fall weather, and some chilly nights your entire life. You probably have lots of summer clothes, and some heavier clothing for chilly nights.

But one day, a winter approaches~ a winter like you have never ever experienced. You never realized just how cold a cold winter can get, and you are having to live through it. Not for a day. Not for a month. For three and a half years!

Now imagine if someone came along and warned you about the coming WINTER, and helped you to get prepared. Would you not be so~~~~~~ thankful? Would you not be so~~~~~~ glad that someone warned you and got you prepared?

God wants us to know what is coming. God wants us to be prepared!

And God calls those who heed the warning and got prepared WISE! That’s right! That’s what wisdom looks like to God.

Life on earth is going to get very, very difficult very soon. It will not be easy to get through what the Bible calls the “great tribulation”, and we are going to need all the help we can get! ^^

I hate to be blunt, but I have to be honest.

For those who are not prepared for what is coming, life on earth will become ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!

But for those who are prepared, it will certainly be their FINEST HOUR!
